Had a really disappointing meal there a year ago but decided to try it again recently. It was fabulous! Really well prepared salmon teriyaki, miso soup fantastic, and a fun celebrity sighting too.

I kind of know where eastquogueguy is coming from but I am a sucker for little eclectic joints like this. I feel compelled to go once in a while even though the food isn't spectacular. I once got a veggie burrito that was stuffed with some random steamed vegetables. Just a bunch of plain vegetables rolled into a tortilla. Wha?? No rice, no beans. No sauce, even. Wha?

But I will go when I want something light. The kiddo gets a burger, I get a baked potato and a salad. My guy gets some chicken. We have a beer and enjoy the soundtrack.

Gordon Ramsay did the right thing with this place by encouraging them to use fresh local ingredients. It's step-above pub food -- reasonable prices and the presentation is very attractive.

Good family restaurant -- go when they have the kid's night buffet with cartoons showing on the big screen. Highlight is the chicken pot pie. Also the staff are always very friendly.

Very authentic Hispanic cuisine. We were the only gringos in the place and the waitstaff was very helpful when I was unsure of what to order. It is very meat oriented so you will not find vegetarian options. I had the 'fish in sauce' which was two very fresh fillets of salmon in a pink cream sauce that was surprisingly light. Served with a side of potato, cassava root, a salad and a plate of rice and beans for under $14. Price is very right! The kiddo had chicken tenders and loved them. My significant other had arroz con pollo and he gave it high marks. But beware it is cooked with chorizo so if pork isn't your thing you might want to order the rotisserie chicken instead. Great service, fair prices, and unfussy well prepared traditional dishes. Will definitely go again.

Always a sure thing. Chopped salad is a great starter, and the free range chicken is super tasty. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is crisp and casual.
Barrister's Restaurant May 8, 09 11:22 AM
A great choice for a light and satisfying dinner. I do wish there were more vegetarian based options - I would probably go there more frequently if there were. The roasted veggie sandwich leaves something to be desired but everything else that I've tried has been delightful - from the arugula pear salad to the soups to the salmon.

A great treat. Warm atmosphere, great service and the food is always wonderful. I think their dinner service is much stronger than lunch though.

I have also stayed at the hotel and always a great little getaway.
Baby Moon May 8, 09 11:22 AM
I always want to love Baby Moon more than I do. I have learned to stick with the pizza and the heroes -- for these the place is fantastic. For the pasta, not so much. But as long as they keep making that delicious margarita pizza I will keep going back.
Matsulin Asian Food May 8, 09 11:22 AM
Matsulin is a gem. I am a regular there and tend to favor the meatfree dishes. Total favorite is the Sizzling Tofu. Just trust me. The Pad Prik King is also fantastic. The veggie lettuce wraps and basil spring rolls are great starters, as is the miso soup. They also have a pretty big vegetarian menu which is not very common so I really appreciate that. Very well done all around.

Food served by friendly people who love to cook. Very well done, but pricey. And you can't beat that view!
World Pie May 8, 09 11:22 AM
I am always stunned by how much money I end up spending here -- a pizza, some salad and wine somehow always sets us back over 70 bucks. But the salads are really nice, and the pizza is good too. Little heavy on the cheese no matter what I ask for when I order but really, it's all about the salads.
Orlando's Cafe May 8, 09 11:22 AM
An eclectic little joint run by super friendly folks. Everything's always fresh and the flavors are very authentic, particularly the south -of-the-border and caribbean style dishes. Very reasonable prices, too. Yum!
