ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER - - Entry-level position to compliment staff in busy firm providing planning, zoning and environmental services throughout Long Island. Successful candidate should be self-motivated, have a positive work ethic, be goal-oriented, have the ability to work within deadlines and dedicated toward producing a professional work product. Good writing, oral and presentation skills are required. Duties include conducting site evaluations to determine environmental conditions (including land use surveys and flora/fauna/ecological evaluations); research and evaluation of development restrictions, environmental constraints and site opportunities; the preparation and processing of building and wetlands permit applications; subdivision applications; site plans and zoning requests; the preparation and processing of environmental assessment forms and environmental impact statements.
