Lu Jong is an ancient Tibetan movement practice (Yoga) that combines physical exercise and meditation together for the purpose of self-healing. Simple poses are combined with rhythmic breathing to bring balance to the body and mind. Appropriate for people of all ages and abilities, Lu Jong gently works the spine to promote strength and flexibility. On a more subtle level, Lu Jong releases energetic blocks in the chakras. You will massage and open points along the spine. Activate the flow of energy in your body. And, cultivate focus and balance. Instructor: Joelle Kelly is a certified Tibetan Movement Instructor & Educator and a direct student of Tulku Lobsang the lineage holder of this practice, and one of only two chosen by the Master to teach and train future teachers in North America. Joelle is also a Yoga Alliance registered teacher with a specialty in Forrest inspired vinyasa. Charismatic, warm and joyfully grounded she is committed to meeting each student at their level of comfort and ability. One hour class on Wednesdays, July 11 - August 29 at 8:30am at the Rogers Beach Pavilion. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothes. Registration is $48.00 for 8 classes and $42.00 for 7 classes.
