In this workshop we will discuss the origins of fermentation, its role through history, and the importance and health benefits of eating probiotic-rich fermented foods. - how bacteria affect overall health, a gut health and immune system, - connection between bacteria and brain function and mood, - latest trials concerning autism and obesity, - how nutrition affects bacterial composition in your gut, - importance of eating fermented foods Participants will also learn fool-proof techniques for fermenting vegetables and make a jar of their own kraut to take home. Vegetables, salt, jars and all utensils are provided. As a bonus: you will also learn how to make Kombucha and get everything you need to start brewing.
