Karl Grossman, whose family settled in Sag Harbor more than a century ago, will discuss the history of Jews on the East End and their places of worship. He will talk about the oldest synagogue on Long Island, Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, as well as other synagogues and houses of worship on the South Fork from Riverhead to Montauk. He will explore the diversity that exists in the various Jewish communities and how their distinct characteristics have influenced their history.
