details:
Annie Sessler, Bobby Lurie and Chuck Manion will be showing their artwork at Ashawagh Hall, 780 Springs Fireplace Rd, East Hampton, NY 11937 on November 2-3, 2019. The opening reception , free and open to the public , will be held 5-8pm on Saturday, November 2nd. Annie will show some art pieces influenced by her eel and octopus gyotaku impressions. She will be also be showing assemblages, drawings and paintings that have little or nothing to do with fish. Bobby was born in Northern California, growing up near the beach in San Francisco. He has travelled and lived throughout Europe, North America and the Middle East. He lives in New York City where he has worked in music for the past 25 years. “ I am mainly a self taught artist. I paint from being in the ocean and what I perceive on my way there. I am always on my way there. I paint so I don’t have to write.” Chuck lives and works in Montauk. He makes three dimensional paintings with unconventional materials. “His pieces resemble something useful, a carpenter’s poem of the sea and himself and the unlikely.”
