  • Amagansett School became a model boat factory recently as children from four elementary grades took part in a “Sailboats and Sawdust” program with the East End Classic Boat Society. Garbed in protective glasses, dust masks, and rubber gloves, the youngsters spent 90 minutes at several sessions, busily sanding, painting assembling and eventually tank testing their creations, in the program that ran from June 11 to June 18 and was led by Stuart Close.
