author on Mar 19, 2018

In celebration of spring, the Victor D’Amico Institute of Art will hold a two-day Spring Critique on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 and 25, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Mabel and Victor D’Amico Studio and Archive in Lazy Point, Amagansett.

Artists ages 16 to 106 are invited to bring two to four artworks that can be displayed on an easel or 24-inch table top and can be carried in and taken home on the day of the event. These include, but are not limited to, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, prints and digital artwork.

Professional artists and VDIA/The Art Barge instructors will lead a critique of each piece with each participating artist and fellow participants. George Negroponte will lead on Saturday followed by Michael Roschon on Sunday.

A brief tour of the studio and archive with Christopher Kohan will be offered and participants can wander the grounds and waterfront, weather permitting.

This event is free but advance registration is required to participate. Maximum occupancy is 15 persons each day. Artists may register for the events online at theartbarge.org. Call 631-267-3172 or email programs@theartbarge.org for further information.
