Bridgehampton Association Distributes Grant Money

Feb 20, 2012 3:52 PM

The Bridgehampton Association has distributed its 2012 grant money to 17 local organizations—a total of $36,000.

Through a series of fundraisers, like its Book Bay, a second-hand bookstore at the old Bridgehampton firehouse, a golf tournament at the Bridgehampton Club in May, and a holiday fair at St. Ann’s Parish Hall in December, the association raised the money to support local charitable, cultural and educational organizations.

Recipients included the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center, the Choral Society, East End Hospice, Hampton Library, Peconic Baykeeper, South Fork Community Health Initiative and Southampton Hospital, among others.

The Bridgehampton Association is a nonprofit corporation that was formed in 1984 by a group of neighbors who volunteered to raise money for organizations in need.
