In Bridgehampton last week, 13 was not an unlucky number, as two properties in the hamlet—of course, both south of the highway—were reported sold, one for $13 million and the other for just a sliver more.

Leading the way was a house sold to a buyer identified as 510 Halsey LLC, who paid $13,050,000. The just-constructed, 10,570-square-foot dwelling has 8 bedrooms and 12.5 baths, continuing a recent trend of bathrooms outnumbering bedrooms. The large living room has a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to a blue stone patio.

Also within the residence are a formal dining room and a paneled library, both with fireplaces, and a 1,000-square-foot master suite with a sitting room, fireplace, and private terrace. The finished basement features a media room, wine cellar, gym and recreation room. Outside the house can be found a pool with a pavilion, spa, and a tennis court. Also of interest is geothermal heat with a solar-assist power plant.

For $50,000 less a buyer could have purchased a home on Sams Creek Road. That’s just what a limited liability company going under the name Ariston Thalassa did, for an even and unsuperstitious $13 million. The barn-like residence houses 12,000 square feet, with 8 bedrooms and 9.5 baths. Among the appealing amenities are vaulted ceilings and what are described as “massive” windows, a great room with walls of windows, gourmet kitchen, a “floating nautical style staircase” (for those who don’t get seasick climbing stairs), and a master suite with a glass sitting area. There are also a home theater, glass-walled fitness studio, a 2-bedroom guest suite, and even a billiards room.

Oh yes, there was one other multi-million-dollar transaction reported in Bridgehampton last week. Sorry, though, at a paltry $3,350,000 for a property on Fair Hills Lane, it just doesn’t make our cut.
