Bridgehampton School

Students in the advanced nutrition and culinary class served soup at the Hampton Library’s holiday tree lighting event on Saturday, December 2. The soup was made fresh with butternut squash that was grown in the school garden. This is the second year that Bridgehampton has been able to offer some hot and delicious soup for the tree lighting.

On Friday, December 8, the Guidance Department hosted its first on-site admissions day. Director of Guidance Danielle Doscher invited four local colleges—Long Island University Post, St. Joseph’s College, SUNY Farmingdale, and Suffolk County Community College—to meet with students for individualized admissions interviews. At these interviews students applications and supplemental materials were reviewed, application fees were waived and an on-the-spot admissions decision was given. Students prepped in the week leading up to the on-site admissions day by practicing interviews in their senior seminar class with the help of Jenna Pluta. Students were able to apply to any or all of the colleges that participated.
