Southampton Police Ask For Public's Help In Ongoing Grand Larceny Investigation

Jan 9, 2019 10:33 AM

The Southampton Town Police Department, in conjunction with Suffolk County Crime Stoppers, is requesting the public’s help to identify and locate a man who may have information about the theft of $60,000 in cash from a car parked in Bridgehampton this fall.

According to Southampton Police Sergeant Lisa Costa, someone stole the cash from a vehicle parked behind Candy Kitchen on Montauk Highway in October. Police declined to offer any additional details about the incident or the investigation.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that eventually leads to an arrest.

A press advisory asked anyone with information to contact the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” at 274637 or by email at www.tipsubmit.com. All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
