The real estate firm described the new agent as “highly productive,” with almost a billion dollars of sales and rentals, as well as a decade of experience under his belt.

Mr. Baron comes to Brown Harris Stevens from Sotheby’s International Realty, where he began his real estate career in 2005. A native of South Africa, he and his wife, Susan, have lived and sailed throughout the Caribbean. Their primary residence is in Sag Harbor, and they also spend time at their property on St. John in the Virgin Islands, according to a release.

“We are delighted to have Mark, an incredibly effective and talented agent, join our team of professionals in the Hamptons,” said Cia Comnas, executive managing director of Brown Harris Stevens, in the release. “His mastery of the real estate market from Southampton to Montauk is truly unparalleled, and we look forward to working more closely with him.”
