Alan Schnurman has registered two significant sales recently—a newly constructed home on a 1.5-acre property in Sagaponack for $15.5 million and the Cavagnaro commercial complex historic buildings in East Hampton for $5 million.
The residential sale in Sagaponack was Mr. Schnurman’s first since joining the firm. The 10,000-square-foot residence is located across from Sagaponack’s beachfront and includes private entry off Daniels Lane, gardens surrounding a traditional thatched-style gambrel house and a kitchen designed by Christopher Peacock. The home was constructed by George Gavalas.
The commercial property—built in 1923 by Albert Cavagnaro, the grandfather of the seller, John Cavagnaro—is located at 105-107 Newtown Lane in East Hampton. The building includes three retail stores, eight one-bedroom/one-bath apartments, a detached four-car garage and a separate one-family house.
Prior to joining Saunders & Associates, Mr. Schnurman was a trial attorney. After retiring from his law practice last year, he signed on with the firm. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Real Deal and Associated Press and has been a guest on the Today Show, Good Morning America and CNN.
