September 11 Memorial Planned

Aug 11, 2011 2:50 PM

Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy announced plans for a formal ceremony to respect and honor the memory and celebrate the life of those who were lost during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The event will take place at Suffolk County’s September 11 memorial, “Gardens of Remembrance,” at 100 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge, and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 9.

The ceremony, which marks the 10th anniversary of the attacks, will be among the first of the official September 11 services to be held this year in the state.

Memorial services should be held on 9-11 or not at all. O, I forgot Steve does not like to work on weekends-he's a politian of the worst kind.
