Traveling as often as I do for business, and sometimes (but rarely) for pleasure, I am always ecstatic to return home to the East End. Not that I don’t travel to beautiful destinations, lucky as I am to work on wonderful homes in magnificent locations; and not that I am particularly nostalgic or adhere to all that home-is-where-the-heart-is mush, but I am a designer—a visual creature who appreciates and yearns for the visual gestalt of ocean, land, architecture, interiors and gardens.
This gestalt is everywhere in evidence on the East End but is sadly missing elsewhere.
