After dropping two consecutive games in League VI, the East Hampton softball team got back on track with a crucial 6-2 win at Miller Place. East Hampton held a slim 3-1 lead until the final inning. In that frame, the Lady Bonackers loaded the bases before first baseman Ilsa Brzezinski hit the ball hard into the pitcher’s leg. It bounced off her leg and then the Lady Panthers threw the ball into right field, trying to make an out at first. Three runs scored due to that blunder before Brzezinski was thrown out at third to end that half of the inning. The damage was done however, as East Hampton went ahead 6-1.
