“Dancing Gabby,” a painting by Lillian Schon, took first place in the Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce’s annual poster contest. The Westhampton Free Library displayed the 30 contest entries during the beginning of April, and the public voted on their favorites. More than 500 votes were cast. Ten finalists were brought to Baby Moon Restaurant in Westhampton Beach to be voted on during the chamber’s spring meeting April 20. Chrystine Brown’s painting came in second, and Joann Maroldo and Carol Luz tied for third. Ms. Schon’s painting will appear on the cover of the chamber’s annual guide book, “Passport to Greater Westhampton,” in addition to being printed as a poster. She is the proprietor of Lillian’s Hair Salon and Spa in Westhampton Beach.
