The hopefuls for the Democratic Party’s nomination to the 1st Congressional District race will gather in Amagansett on Friday evening for their first joint forum on the South Fork.

The forum, hosted by the East Hampton Town Democratic Party and held at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Amagansett, will feature seven would-be nominees to be the party’s challenger to Republican U.S. Representative Lee Zeldin on the November ballot: Kate Browning, Elaine DiMasi, Vivian Viloria Fisher, Perry Gershon, Brendon Henry, Bruce Miller and David Pechefsky.

Friday’s event will begin at 7 p.m. with statements from each candidate, followed by questions from Democratic Party moderators and the audience.

The event is open to the public.
