Downes Of Counsel To Adam Miller Group

Sag Harbor attorney Dennis Downes has become of counsel to the Bridgehampton real estate law firm Adam Miller Group.

“We are so pleased to welcome Dennis,” said Adam M. Miller, the principal of the Adam Miller Group, in a statement. “He’s a real estate and land use expert whose skill and years of local experience will be a huge asset to our firm. Dennis has zoning expertise that’s invaluable and unteachable. He is literally an encyclopedia of knowledge—working closely with Brian DeSesa, who runs our growing land use practice, they will be an unstoppable team.”

Mr. Downes, who specializes in land use, residential and commercial Real Estate, wills and trusts, and estates, attended Brooklyn Law School and passed the bar in 1972. He is licensed to practice in New York, North Carolina, the US Supreme Court and both Federal Districts of New York. He also serves as a special counsel for the Town of Southampton, the Town of Shelter Island, the Village of Southampton and the Village of Westhampton Beach.

“I started coming to Sag Harbor every summer with my family in 1955,” Mr. Downes said. “I love the East End and have worked with so many local residents over the years which has been a privilege. Over the past few years I’ve come to realize that the Adam Miller Group would perfectly complement my existing practice and I’m delighted to be joining the firm. Adam’s proven track record, locally and in New York City, along with his highly skilled and responsive staff is hands-down the best fit.”
