CNN’s Don Lemon Talks With Distinguished Professor and Writer Pedro Noguera About ‘The Crisis of Connection’

In partnership with Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center’s Thinking Forward Lecture Series, on Friday, July 26, the Parrish Art Museum will host host “The Crisis of Connection: Roots, Consequences, and Solutions,” a discussion between CNN's Don Lemon and distinguished professor and writer Pedro Noguera.

The discussion is based on “The Crisis of Connection,” a new book edited byy Mr. Noguera which explores how awareness of common humanity can bridge political, religious and identity-based divisions that make it difficult to solve problems affecting us all.

The talk will be followed by a book signing.

Mr. Noguera, is a professor of education at the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies and the faculty director for the Center for the Transformation of Schools at the University of California, Los Angeles. A sociologist, Mr. Noguera’s research focuses on ways in which schools are influenced by social and economic conditions, as well as by demographic trends in local, regional and global contexts. He is the author and editor of 13 books.

Mr. Lemon anchors CNN Tonight with Don Lemon" airing weeknights at 10 p.m. He also serves as a correspondent across CNN/U.S. programming.

The talk is Friday, July 26, at 6 p.m. at the Parrish Art Museum, 279 Montauk Highway, Water Mill. A book signing will follow. Tickets are $12 (free for members, students and children) at parrishart.org.
