Jonathan Davis and his father, the power broker Tim Davis, both of the Corcoran Group in Southampton, were out in Los Angeles a couple of months ago when the younger Mr. Davis recognized Josh Flagg having a drink at the Beverly Hills Hotel.A fan of “Million Dollar Listing LA”—a reality show in which the slick and dashing Mr. Flagg, a real estate agent, negotiates a drama-filled path to close deals on posh properties—Jonathan Davis went over and introduced himself.

“He was very welcoming and open,” Mr. Davis recalled this week. The Davises and Mr. Flagg set up a lunch the next day at the Ivy and agreed to keep in touch to forge a business relationship.

That’s how Mr. Flagg came to be in town filming an episode of the Bravo reality show earlier this month. Mr. Davis was very protective about the episode’s details—“I can’t give it away,” he stressed—but he did say that it was filmed at three properties in Sagaponack and Southampton Village, as well as at a cocktail party at his father’s house in North Sea.

Typically, “Million Dollar Listing” closes with a deal. This episode is expected to air on Bravo in mid-September, at which point exactly where and for how much will most likely be revealed.

“He wants us to go out there and do another episode,” Mr. Davis said of Mr. Flagg. “He’s a really nice guy, and we got along well.”
