This year’s mentors included writer Alexander Dinelaris, a recent Academy Award winner for “Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance);” Nicole Perlman, co-writer of 2014’s Academy Award-nominated “Guardians of the Galaxy;” Evan Hayes, president of production at Parkes/MacDonald Productions and Image Nation; and Helen Schulman, author and co-screenwriter of “P.S.”

The four selected screenplays were “Jane” by Kendell Kline; “European Zero” by Jared Goodman; “And Breathe Normally” by Ísold Uggadóttir; and “The Gloaming” by Philip Aceto.
