The East End Drug Task Force arrested seven men and a woman this week who the Suffolk County district attorney’s office says were operating a crack cocaine sales ring spread across Long Island and based at a house in Riverside. Federal immigration agents were seen outside a house on Scuttlehole Road in Bridgehampton on Tuesday morning, where they took one person into custody, local officials confirmed. Suffolk County Sherriff Erron Toulon and County Executive Ed Romaine warned drivers this week that the county will be rolling out a new anti-DWI campaign that will feature stepped-up enforcement of drinking and driving laws and public outreach to discourage drunk driving. A group of three with a handgun robbed North Sea Tavern on North Sea Road at 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, according to Southampton Town Police. Police said the trio forced a tavern employee to open a cash register and then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
