Nadine Carissa LaFace of East Quogue and Private First Class Taylor Jeremy Schwartz of Westhampton Beach were engaged on New Year’s Eve.
Ms. LaFace is a special education teacher at the Child Development Center of the Hamptons in Wainscott, and finishing her master’s degree at St. John’s University.
Mr. Schwartz is in U.S. Marine Corps, training to be a jet engine mechanic.
