Happy 2012. I like saying “Twenty-Twelve.” It has a nice ring to it! Hope your New Year has a nice ring to it, too.
By the end of December, the Christmas decorations inside and outside the house begin to look as tired as the people around them. Plastic snowmen and Santas have fallen down and can’t get up, those blow-up lawn decorations have lost their air and lay flat and, well, deflated, the word JOY on a lawn has lost its J and now just says OY, and parts of strings of lights on houses have gone out and remain unlit. Inside, Christmas villages are dusty, live trees are losing needles rapidly and the baked goods are mere crumbs.
Time to put everything away and start fresh. January is here and there... more
