The Eastport Fire Department held its annual ice/cold water rescue training on February 12. The Eastport Junior Fire Company, East Moriches and Westhampton Beach Memorial Ambulance companies were also there to assist in the drill.
“Winterfest” on the North Fork of Long Island combines award-winning local wines with award-winning musical performances. Add in a beautiful sunny Saturday or Sunday, a pie or a blueberry muffin from a local farm stand, someone special to go with you and you have the recipe for an absolutely perfect day.
“Winterfest” runs through Sunday, March 18, with jazz and wine tastings at a few dozen wineries located just a hop, skip and a jump away from our sleepy little hamlet.
