In addition to the school budget, Eastport South Manor School District residents will be asked to vote on two other propositions next week.
Proposition 2 would allow the district to transfer excess funds totaling $2,369,025.50 from its Liability Reserve Fund to the Retirement Contribution Reserve Fund to pay required retirement contributions to the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System.
Proposition 3 would enable residents of the district to have the benefit of full library services by entering into a one-year contract with the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, at a cost of $2.45 million. The services would be provided by the following facilities: the Westhampton Free Library, the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Library, the Riverhead Free Library or the Center Moriches Free Library.
