Three teenagers were charged with breaking into three houses on Atlantic Avenue and Bluff Road in Amagansett on Halloween night.
According to East Hampton Town Police, the trio kicked in a door and stole bottles of beer at one residence and entered another through a skylight, stealing bottles of liquor and damaging a bathtub, before finally forcing their way into another empty house through a basement door.
None of the homeowners were in their houses when the incidents took place, according to police.
The names of the youths were withheld because of their age. A 15-year-old from Bridgehampton was arrested on November 12; and a 16-year-old from Sag Harbor and a 16-year-old from Amagansett were both arrested on November 14. Each was charged with two felony counts of burglary, two felony counts of criminal mischief and one misdemeanor count each of criminal mischief and criminal trespass.
