The East Hampton boys swim team found success in its first home meet of the season, beating Hauppauge, 95-75, at the East Hampton YMCA on January 9.
The Bonackers swept all three relays and several individuals won events as well. The team started with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, with Thomas Brierley, Trevor Mott, Chris Kalbacher and Shane McCann edging out Hauppauge by fractions of a second in 1:46.84. Hauppauge’s top team finished second in 1:46.89. East Hampton also won the 200-yard freestyle relay, with the combination of Rob Rewinski, Thomas Paradiso, Alex Astilean and McCann. They finished in 1:39.26.
Astilean, Rewinski, Brierley and Mott gave their team a sweep of the relays by finishing the 400-yard free relay in 3:36.72.
