East Hampton Beach Cleanup Postponed Again Due to Weather

Feb 13, 2014 6:39 PM
The first ever “Shoreline Sweep” in East Hampton is being postponed a second time due to weather. The event was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 8 and was postponed due to a heavy build-up of snow and ice on the beaches. It was then rescheduled for this Saturday, but has been postponed once again. The new date for the event will be Saturday, February 22.

The event was organized by East Hampton nature photographer Dell Cullum in conjunction with Town trustees and the East Hampton Litter committee.

Volunteers are still being sought to help with picking up trash and debris from beaches between Wainscott and Montauk.

For information on becoming a volunteer, contact Dell Cullum at kachina35@gmail.com.
