East Hampton Varsity Baseball To Host A Casino Night This Saturday

Oct 10, 2017 10:36 AM

The East Hampton High School varsity baseball team is hosting a “Casino Night” this Saturday, October 14, at the American Legion in Amagansett from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the team’s spring training trip to Tampa, Florida, this upcoming April, where it is expected to practice at the Walter Fuller Sports Complex—the former spring training home of the Tampa Bay Rays—in addition to playing at Eckerd College, Lake Vista Sports Complex, Huggins-Stengel Sports Complex, and possibly a game at the Philadelphia Phillies’ former spring training home, Jack Russell Memorial Stadium.

Advance ticket sales are $60 per person or $100 per couple. Tickets at the door are $75 per person or $120 per couple.

There are other ways to help. For $500, sponsors can take out space on signs on playing or dining tables at Casino Night and on the spring training uniform shirts worn by the players throughout their trip and on next summer’s Summer League uniforms. Table sponsors also receive two tickets to attend Casino Night. Prize donations are also sought after and sponsors of prize donations will be listed in the printed prize handouts at Casino Night.

For more information, to purchase tickets, or to become a sponsor, call or text head coach Vincent Alversa at (631) 236-7131.
