Candidates In East Hampton Town Will Debate Monday

Candidates running for East Hampton Town supervisor and Town Board will sit down with members of the League of Women Voters of the Hamptons for a debate in the lead-up to the November election.

The event will take place Monday, October 16, at 7 p.m. at the East Hampton Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street and North Main Street.

Voters of East Hampton Town will be able to hear from candidates and present questions to them regarding important issues and concerns. Candidates will make timed opening and closing statements and will answer submitted questions from the League, The East Hampton Star and the audience. League of Women Voters Co-president Susan Wilson will moderate.

Candidates for East Hampton Town supervisor are Peter Van Scoyoc and Manny Vilar. They will be seeking the position left by Larry Cantwell, who will not be seeking reelection.

Candidates for Town Board include incumbent Kathee Burke-Gonzalez and challengers Jeffrey Bragman, Paul Giardina and Jerry Larsen. The four candidates will be seeking two available seats.
