The East Hampton baseball team ended a losing streak that spanned 51 games and more than three years last week when it won, 6-2, at Amityville on May 7. The Bonackers went on to sweep the Warriors, winning their home finale, 20-2, on May 9, and then picking up a 14-1 victory in the season finale on Thursday, May 10. Amityville’s losing streak continued and ballooned to 60 games.

Kurt Matthews had to make a relief appearance in the first inning of Bonac’s first win last week. He wound up striking out 12 and allowed one earned run on three hits and no walks in six and a third innings.
