An East Hampton Village property fronting Georgica Cove that at different times in the past belonged to DreamWorks founder David Geffen and Ross School founder Courtney Sale Ross, the widow of Time Warner CEO Steve Ross, has sold. The final sales price was $17 million, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.
The property was previously part of a 4.44-acre compound with a collective 380 feet of waterfront on Georgica Pond. In 2016, Mr. Geffen sold the package for $50 million to Great Neck developer Villadom Corp. However, Villadom has unloaded the properties without ever developing them. Last year, the parcels at number 20 and 24 West End Road sold for $6.8 million and $17.2 million, respectively. This latest sale was for 26 West End Road.
Google Maps and old listing photos show a residence with a circular pool and a dock, but the latest listing images from Bespoke Real Estate show only green grass that leaves future development up to the buyer’s imagination.
Number 26 is 1.64 acres and billed as a “new development opportunity” that is “perfectly positioned for optimal western-facing waterfront sunsets.” There’s room for a 7,194-square-foot principal dwelling with 7,194 square feet above grade plus a finished lower level, according to Bespoke, but that’s not all. It can accommodate a pool, a dock, and a 1,314-square-foot pool house.
It had been listed for $19.9 million.
Over on the west side of Georgica Pond — though not fronting the water — 6 Association Road in Wainscott has sold for $7.5 million. The seller was the estate of Elizabeth Walker and the buyer was NVP LLC. No listing for the property was available with further details.
