Police: Pair Nabbed For Prostitution

A man and woman were arrested in Riverside on Saturday night after a Southampton Town Police officer said the pair was having sex for money.

Carlos Gonzalez-Leverman, 26, of Pulaski Street in Riverhead, was arrested at 9:08 p.m. near the intersection of Flanders Road and Old Quogue Road and charged with a misdemeanor count of patronizing a prostitute in the third degree.

Tammy L. Cipriano, 44, of Old Quogue Road in Riverside was arrested at 8:32 p.m. at the same location and charged with prostitution and public lewdness, both misdemeanors.

Police said the offense took place at about 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of Flanders Road, Vail Avenue and Old Quogue Road and that Ms. Cipriano told them she had charged Mr. Gonzalez-Leverman to have sexual intercourse. He told officers he paid her... more
