With two games remaining on its regular-season schedule, the Eastport South Manor girls tennis team is on the verge of clinching the League VIII title, perhaps with an undefeated record.
After three victories last week, the Lady Sharks stand at 11-0 in league play, with Mattituck (10-2) and Southampton (10-3) trailing them in the standings. ESM was slated to travel to Shelter Island (0-12) on Wednesday and to host Center Moriches (2-9) in its final match of the season today, October 11, at 4:30 p.m.
