A Shinnecock Hills woman was arrested early Sunday morning after Southampton Town Police said she assaulted her ex-boyfriend, in part with a high heel shoe, following a car crash in North Sea.
Nicole J. Sobol, 32, was a passenger in a Honda that rear-ended another Honda being driven by her ex near the intersection of North Sea Road and Majors Path about 2:41 a.m., police said.
No one was injured in the crash, but Ms. Sobol exited her car, punched and kicked her ex, struck him in the head and face with her pointy shoe, cutting and bruising him, and then keyed his car, according to police.
She was arrested at 3:33 a.m. at the scene, charged with second-degree assault, a felony, as well as fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both misdemeanors, and held at police headquarters in Hampton Bays for a morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
The victim was taken to Southampton Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
