New nightclubs have opened in the Hamptons just in time for the summer season.
The Jue Lan Club in Southampton has introduced a brand new late night hot spot for the summer: Elm & Main, a club that comes alive at night within the Jue Lan Club. The likes of DJ Walshy Fire, of Major Lazer fame, and Krill Was Here have appeared and hosted events at Elm & Main, located at 268 Elm Street. Another one of Southampton’s newest night spots is A.M. Southampton. Located at 125 Tuckahoe Lane, A.M. Southampton was created by entrepreneur Richie Hosein and restaurateur Zach Erdem. Since its opening on Memorial Day weekend, A.M. Southampton has welcomed rap stars Fat Joe, Ja Rule and Jim Jones. The club will hold a Hamptons White Party hosted by reality TV personality Scott Disick on Saturday, July 2.
Speaking over the phone last week, Mr. Hosein talked about how the club came together and the attractive location.
“We thought that Southampton was lacking any unique experiences in the area. We’re trying to arouse different senses with this place.”
Mr. Hosein said that with every new project he takes on, he tries to find a need in whatever area he’s working. He saw Southampton as a place that needed a new reason for visitors and residents to enjoy the Hamptons.
“It’s not just about ‘Thanks for coming and spending your money with us.’ We want to give back to the community and we’re trying to find ways to give back by bringing unique experiences back.”
DJ R3hab, rapper Fabolous, and model Amber Rose are among the many names Mr. Hosein says will bring these “unique experiences” to the Southampton area. He also talked about new kinds of after parties and celebrity birthday parties coming this season.
This is the first time Mr. Hosein and Mr. Erdem have worked together, as Mr. Hosein said that he wanted a big name for a partner on this new project.
“I sought after Zach because he’s known for the Hamptons. He’s been a part of the Hamptons for the last 10 years. Instead of bringing in someone outside of the Hamptons, it’s important for the person to know the Hampton clientele and for the clientele to really know the people of the Hamptons.”
Mr. Hosein hopes that anyone and everyone interested in summer fun at night will look beyond standard expectations for this establishment.
“It’s not just going to be ‘Thank you for your money, here’s some expensive bottles of liquor to buy.’ The experience and services are going to be unique and we’re going to adapt to the needs of everyone who comes into the club. It’s going to be exciting and memorable.”
