Stella Lysik, a longtime resident of Southampton, died on January 21 at her home. She was 92.
Born in Manhattan to Andrew and Eva Gural, she graduated from Washington Irving High School in Manhattan. She worked for 38 years for Irwin B. Schwabe in the Empire State Building.
She married Stanley Lysik and they settled in Connecticut. After he died, Ms. Lysik moved to Flushing and then Southampton.
In Manhattan, she was a member of the Kosciuszko Foundation. In Southampton she was a member of the Southampton Garden Club and president of the Homemakers Club. She helped with collecting money for the Bishops Fund Appeal and volunteered on the finance committee at Our Lady of Poland Church in Southampton. Survivors said she loved swimming, dancing, horseback riding and attending social events.
Ms. Lysik is survived by a brother, Reverend Marion A. Gural; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ben, and a sister, Jean.
The family received friends at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton on January 26. A funeral Mass was said at Our Lady of Poland Church in Southampton on January 27, followed by interment in Flushing.
