James G. Nugent Of Southampton Dies April 15

James G. Nugent Jr. of Southampton died on April 15, 2018. He was 65.

Mr. Nugent was born in New York City, the son of Marianne and James G. Nugent. He graduated from St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, and Columbia University. He was a vice president at Merrill Lynch and a managing director at Alpine Capitol Management, Inc.

According to the family, nothing pleased him more than going to the beach, enjoying old movies, listening to music and riding his bike around Southampton, which he did year-round.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Marianne Turner; and a brother, John G. Nugent.

A funeral Mass will take place on Friday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at The Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton.
