James William Siedlecki died on May 3, 2019, while walking the Camino de Santiago near Pamplona, Spain. He was 63 and on his third pilgrimage on the Camino and was accompanied by his son, Michael Siedlecki.
Born on August 9, 1955, to Theodore and Martha (Stachecki) Siedlecki in Southampton, he graduated from Southampton High School and the University of Albany. Following graduation, he served as an intelligence officer in the Navy from 1979 to 1984.
Upon leaving the Navy, he married Marilyn Quinn. Their son, Michael, was born in 1995 and the three of them were inseparable as they embraced travel, museums, music, rowing and karate while always making time for family and friends.
In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by his sisters, Patricia Dwyer and Marcia Zuhoski; and a brother, Theodore Siedlecki Jr.
