Milton “Milt” Carlos Enstine of Southampton died October 30, 2019, in Southampton. He was 77.
Born April 27, 1942, he was the eldest son of Milton C. Enstine and Julia Harrington Enstine. After serving in the U.S. Army, he lived and worked in Southern California before returning home to join the family business. He was an avid animal lover and had an impressive collection of exotic birds. Many visitors would come from all over to enjoy his birds. He loved music and literature and was a talented piano player who could play an assortment of classical pieces. He had a passion for the Rogers Memorial Library and served on its Board of Directors for several years. Survivors said he was a peaceful, gentle man who enjoyed being with people.
He is survived by daughter Delphi Sech and husband Rob; and grandchildren, Elijah, Noah, Gabriel, and Helen Julia Sech, all of California; as well as brothers, Peter (Sandy) Enstine and Thomas Enstine; and sister Ann Enstine; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton on Monday, November 4. A funeral took place November 5 at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
