Longtime Southampton resident John Hedin Barnhill died on October 30, 2019. He was 70
Born on May 10, 1949, in Wilmington, Delaware, to Samuel Hedin and Marjorie Keaveny Hedin, he was a partner and the chef at The Drivers Seat for many years. He loved living in Southampton, going to the beach with friends and spending time with his beloved dog, Wally. Survivors said he loved traveling, cooking and entertaining.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, James Barnhill; and sister Judith Barnhill. He is survived by his brother, Samuel (Pamela); and godsons Richard and Kevin McMahon.
A memorial visitation will be held at the O’Connell-Rothwell Funeral Home in Southampton on Friday, November 8, from 5 to 7 p.m.
