Peter F. Carr Jr. of Benton, Arkansas, died on December 26 in Waverly, Tennessee, of a suspected heart attack. He was 69.
Mr. Carr was born October 20, 1945, to Peter F. Carr Sr. and Helen B. (Trainer) Carr in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He attended St. Pius X Prep Seminary, Seminary of the Immaculate Conception and Fordham University. He retired from his position as an institutional sales trader at Stephens Inc. in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he spent the majority of his professional career. He was an avid and voracious reader, and survivors said he also loved horses and was a lifelong devotee of horse racing, an interest he shared with many close friends.
Mr. Carr is survived by a son, Kevin; his mother, Helen of Southampton; two sisters, Karen and her wife Yvette Christofilis, and Sharon of Southampton; and many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his father, Peter Sr., in 1985.
A funeral Mass was held at The Catholic Church of St. John The Baptist in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on December 31. A graveside memorial service in Coventry, Rhode Island, will be announced at a future date.
