Dorothy A. Miller of Southampton died on January 3 at the Westhampton Care Center in Westhampton. She was 85.
Born on October 18, 1929, in Woodside, Ms. Miller (Wasiak) attended City College of New York in Manhattan while working at Book of the Month Club. She was also a longtime employee at CPC International, before working at the Young Presidents Organization and the Association of Junior Leagues International. Survivors said she was passionate about the arts and travel.
Memories of childhood summers spent in Sagaponack at the farms of both her uncle and godmother—now the Wölffer Estate—brought her back to Bridgehampton when she retired in 1995. She subsequently moved to Southampton.
Ms. Miller is survived by two children, Candice Miller Wexler and Edward Miller and wife Eileen Miller; and two granddaughters, Alexandra and Dana Wexler.
A memorial Mass will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Southampton on Monday, January 19, at 10:30 a.m.
