Marie R. Micari died on January 5 at her home in Southampton. She was 85.
Born in Southampton on December 1, 1929, to Samuel V. and Rose Micari, she lived in her family home her entire life.
A 1947 graduate of Southampton High School, she maintained lifelong friendships with members of her graduating class. She retired from the Suffolk County Heart Association, where she was in charge of its programs on the East End. After retirement, she supported many charitable causes.
Ms. Micari was an avid traveler and was a passenger on the Queen Elizabeth II cruise ship, traveled on the Amazon and the Nile, and visited Italy twice, the second time with her nephew, Richard Fernan, and grand-nephew Scott Fernan.
She was predeceased by her parents; two siblings, Sara and Frank; and her longtime companion, John Morrison. She is survived by five nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Interment was at Sacred Hearts Cemetery on January 8.
