The East Hampton wrestling team had its most competitive match of the League V season at home against Huntington on January 25, but unfortunately, the Bonackers could not come up with a win in what was the regular season finale, falling, 45-33, to the Blue Devils.
The loss dropped East Hampton to 0-7 in League V, while Huntington finished with a 2-5 record.
The match got off to a good start for the Bonackers. At 195 pounds, Jake Hands pinned Hector Rubio in 1:54 before Blue Devil Nick Lupi, ranked first in the county at 220 pounds, pinned Alfredo Perez in 1:58, tying the score at 6-6.
