The East Hampton boys basketball team has been predictable this season, with the majority of its scoring coming from junior guard Thomas King. But in a 59-52 home win over Elwood/John Glenn on Monday night, someone else stepped up.
Sophomore guard Danny McKee led all scorers by sinking a career-high 21 points, including three three-pointers, helping his Bonac team improve to 5-3 in League VI and, more important, leaving it just one win shy of a playoff berth in Class A. McKee led what was a balanced scoring effort from the team—King finished with 15 points and Juan Cuevas had nine. Pat McGuirk had seven points and eight rebounds.
