Thanks to a 63-44 victory at Westhampton Beach in its final game of the regular season on February 14, the East Hampton boys basketball team was able to even its League VI record at 6-6 and put an end to its two-year hiatus from the Suffolk County Class A playoffs.
On Saturday night, the Bonackers were at Shoreham/Wading River for their opening round playoff game against an all too familiar foe. East Hampton had split its regular season games with the Wildcats, having beaten them at home earlier in the season but lost, 76-34, in the team’s most recent matchup on February 7.
